Assistant Designer
As an assistant designer you will work closely with the creative director on all aspects of the design process. The responsibilities will also include coordinating the smooth running of the studio on a day to day basis.
Key responsibilities of the roles are:
- Assist Creative Director providing support on every aspect on the Atelier
- Produce and present research for collection, sketching, design development and final design
- Help to create mood boards, fabrication, colors and develop textile design
- Work closely with Creative Director and atelier team from design selection, development, sampling, to production and final products
- Attending any necessary fittings and shoots
- Responsible for collection overviews and ensuring smooth running of studio, and deadlines
- Working on samples and digital work
- Able to work with pattern and drafting, have a good understanding of pattern cutting and sewing
- Responsible with coordinating and revising samples, including technical drawings, spec sheets and line- up
- Communicate directly across factories, suppliers, manufacturers, seamstress and other production team
- Organize the studio and making sure to keep the inventory list updated
- Lead the Intern team, and atelier team and able to communicate well with team or individually
- Reviewing samples and final product, have an eye for details and finishing
- Able to coordinate all schedules, shows, interns and events
Profile:
- An experience in RTW/ Fashion House in Womenswear
- Creative and visionary with a passion for fashion
- Able to work in fast paced environment and able to adapt well in any situation
- Excellent understanding of Masou brand and customer
- Eye for detail and good knowledge of fabrics, trims, finishing, pattern cutting and sewing
- Ability to coordinate schedules and meetings, able to multitask and responsible for urgent matters
- Strong understanding in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Power Point, etc.
